7 tiny ways I’m improving my finances in 2026

These small changes can save or make you hundreds per year.

yep. drinking coffee again ☕

shockingly on brand.

i wanted to share a few really small things i’m doing (and have done) that can literally save you or make you hundreds of dollars over the next year. none of this is complicated. none of it is flashy. it’s just… low-effort wins.

i also put all the resources i personally use down below. feel free to check out any of them. every single one has either saved me money or made me money. sometimes both.

1. high-interest savings accounts

if your money is sitting in a regular checking or savings account, it’s basically doing nothing.

there are savings accounts right now paying way more than traditional banks. same money. same risk. way more interest.

this alone can make you hundreds — even thousands — per year depending on how much cash you’re sitting on.

Here is a list of the highest-paying ones right now.

2. auto insurance (most people overpay)

this one is painfully boring… which is why it works.

most people just keep paying whatever their auto insurance bill says. for years. without checking.

taking a few minutes to compare can easily save you hundreds per year. sometimes more. it’s one of the fastest “return on time” money tasks i know.

→ link HERE to check and compare.

3. rocket money (subscription cleanup)

when i first ran rocket money, i found subscriptions and recurring bills i completely forgot about.

i saved about $500 the first year just from canceling stuff i wasn’t using.

this isn’t about budgeting harder. it’s about stopping money leaks you don’t even notice.

4. blossom

this one’s about making money, not just saving it.

blossom is a free app where you can follow real investors. you can literally follow me and see every trade i make in real time.

no get-rich-quick stuff. just long-term investing. it’s basically social media for investors who touch grass.

→ totally free. link HERE.

bonus things i’ve added recently:

life insurance: not the “get rich” kind. the “if something happens to me, my family is okay” kind. i’m the sole breadwinner with two kids now, and the peace of mind was worth it alone.

→ comparison link HERE.

pet insurance: if you have pets and can’t comfortably cover a big emergency in cash, this can be huge. i linked the top options right now.

→ link HERE.

earning more: i also have a free 21-day challenge to help you make your first dollar online. if you’re interested in YouTube specifically, there’s also a waitlist for my next cohort (running later this year after we have our next baby). we’ve already helped five normal people leave their jobs through YouTube. trying to help five more.

quick disclaimer:

yes, these are affiliate links. but i only link stuff i actually use and would tell friends about anyway. if you click nothing, totally fine. if one thing saves you a few hundred bucks this year, that’s a win.

alright. coffee’s gone.
